About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an alternative therapy method originating in ancient China that treats patients by manipulating thin needles that have been inserted into certain acupuncture points in the skin.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, stimulating these points can correct imbalances in the flow of Qi (Chi) through channels known as meridians.

For Multiple Sclerosis, acupuncture has and is constantly being used as an effective pain reliever, it can also help reduce the side effects of many MS related medications. The symptoms of MS that generally respond well to acupuncture are muscular weakness, spasticity, pain, vision problems, tremor, balance/co-ordination, dizziness, bladder infections, fatigue and mental/emotional problems.

Acupuncture can also improve the general functioning of the immune system, in order to help avoid further symptoms/complaints in the future.
